Quality Standards & Ratings


In addition to Underwriters Laboratories' wet location listing, all of Millerbernd's Food Area and Underpass fixtures are IP66 rated. The "IP" stands for ingress protection while the "66" means that a fixture is dust tight and protected against heavy seas and strong jets of water. The IP66 rating is comparable to the NEMA 4 and 4X. Project Overview:

In 2004 one of Millerbernd's customers, impressed with the high quality craftsmenship of commercial lighting, asked if we could manufacture an outdoor fixture to light their marquee sign and new facility. There were very specific business requirements which the client was having a difficult time meeting with standard "catalog" products. The flood lights needed a range of beam patterns, outstanding light control, support both ground, wall or structure mounting; and the ability to withstand tough environmental pressures including heat, wind and water.

Project Solution:

Millerbernd's design and engineering team created a unique wet location flood light. Built with superior stainless steel construction and proven integrated gasket system ensures that this flood light is resistant to dirt, dust, moisture, contaminants and other performance inhibiting elements. The high performance design is UL LISTED for Wet Locations.

Project Result:

The high performance design of this fixture has excelled in ground, structure and wall mounted installation in the toughest desert environments. We have now made this corrosion resistant stainless steel a standard Millerbernd Lighting product (FL-17). It is ideal for facade, sign, recreational, security and landscape lighting.
